Interior finish work depends on what is under the surface: drywall condition, seams, texture, trim, moisture, patching, and primer.
Photos should show the wall condition
Good photos show more than the color you want. They show cracks, patches, seams, texture, moisture marks, trim condition, corners, outlets, and where repair work may be needed before paint.
- Wide wall photos with natural light if possible.
- Close-ups of cracks, stains, patches, and damaged trim.
- Notes about texture, sheen, and desired finish level.
Prep changes the finish quality
Primer, patching, sanding, caulk, trim repair, and surface cleaning can decide whether the finish looks calm or rushed. That is why prep belongs in the estimate conversation.
- What needs repair before paint
- Whether trim, doors, or ceiling are included
- How clean the room can be kept during the work
