Exterior work needs more context than a close-up repair photo. Access, height, weather, staging, materials, and parking can all change the plan.

Show the approach, not just the repair

Exterior estimate photos should show the affected area, the whole side of the house, ground conditions, parking, gates, deck or porch access, and anything that changes ladder or material staging.

  • Wide exterior photos from multiple angles.
  • Close-ups of the repair area and nearby trim or siding.
  • Photos of driveway, gate, grade, and work access.

Weather and timing matter

Exterior projects often depend on safe access, dry surfaces, material lead time, and daylight. Mentioning timing early keeps the estimate path realistic.

  • Preferred start window and deadline
  • Weather-sensitive surfaces or exposed areas
  • Material, color, trim, and repair expectations
